Unfortunately, the sire died of a broken leg at only 4.5 years of age, but what a quality he had! Both we and Niels Bruynseels believed in this powerhouse and joined forces to buy this son of Don’t touch Tiji Hero and train him for the big sport.

New life at Tiji…sustainable quality

We are about halfway through our 2022 batch and have already welcomed some fine fine foals. Over the past decades and years, we have collected some carefully selected maternal lines in our Tiji breeding going back to, among others, the Olympic mare Carlina IV (Pius Schwizer), via Vallonia de Reville (Kannan), the former sport mare of Nicola Philippaerts, and her dam Rianne du Briot (Non Stop x Carlina IV).

European champion Bryan Balsiger new rider of Scarlina de Tiji Z

Niels Bruynseels and Tiji Stables have sold their promising Scarlina de Tiji Z to Bryan Balsiger, the young Swiss talent who won team gold at the European Championships in September and finished fifth at the Tokyo Olympics. Scarlina (Hunters’ Scendro) is a daughter of Vallonia de Reville (Kannan) who in turn is a granddaughter of Pius Schwizer’s Olympic mare Carlina V. Scarlina comes from the ‘Tiji’ breeding of Jill Smits and Tim Van Tricht.

Double Jeopardy de Tiji continues career in Austria

Our seven-year-old Double Jeopardy de Tiji (Don’t Touch de Tiji Hero) out of H&M Vallonia de Reville (Kannan), who in turn is a granddaughter of Carlina (Pius Schwizer), competed in her first shows with Niels Bruynseels and immediately attracted attention.

New life @Tiji

We welcomed 17 foals this year. Less than expected, nature decided. Of course, we used Don’t Touch de Tiji and his son Dr Touch de Tiji. New this year is the collaboration with Stephex. Pommex, the Stephex breeding farm, is situated in Normandy.

Scarlina lives up to expectations.

Niels Bruynseels and Scarlina de Tiji grow closer to each other. She is a horse for the future according to him! Proud breeder!

Also Scarlina de Tiji is leaving for Bruynseels stables!

Also our talented mare by Scendro from the Carlina IV line was bought for half by Niels Bruynseels. She will be build up slowly in preparation for the major sport. Both Niels and we have a lot of confidence in her.

Fatal fracture for Joker du Seigneur

Today we had to say goodbye to our talented and intelligent stallion Joker du Seigeur. We strongly believed in his qualities. He suffered a leg fracture in the meadow which was so serious that we had to make the difficult decision to put him to sleep. We will miss him enormously.

First training of Scarlina de tiji

Today we did our first training again after a 5 months break. Scarlina was in the field all that time and we took a few embryo’s. Now she has to start the hard work again but it looks like she still knows how to fly ! Love this mare !!!
