Rex van ‘t Roth to become stud at Jill Smits

The semen of the five-year-old Rex van 't Roth (Gemini CL xx X Darco) is freshly available this season through Jill Smits, who will also take care of his training this year. During the recent BWP stallion approval Talifax van 't Roth was chosen as champion stallion. Just before that the denouement of the stallion competition took place and Rex van 't Roth, from the same line, jumped a clear final after he had previously finished the three manches faultless.

Ulivia van 't Roth (Calypso III x Lord) is the mother of Talifax and the grandmother of Rex. From the top sport we also know Ulivia as the mother of Calimero van 't Roth (Darco), with whom Jos Lansink jumped five stars.
The horses van't Roth refer to Jean Meurrens and he started his breeding with Livia (Lord), mother of Ulivia and great-grandmother of Bijou Orai (Toulon) and she is the mother of Eldorado van de Zeshoek.

Rex van 't Roth was bought by Cleran Horses and Niels Bruynseels, who has a feel for young talent.  'Tim and I are absolutely crazy about Rex, who we will definitely use in our breeding this year. Because we work closely with Niels Bruynseels, who also believes strongly and expects a lot from Rex, the idea arose to have Rex for breeding with us. After all, we are equipped for it with Don't Touch Tiji Hero. Rex comes from a particularly strong lineage. Calypso III, Rex's great-grandfather, stayed clear in the Hamburg derby as a seven-year-old. His fighting ability characterized Calypso III. Calypso's grandsire is the full-blooded Rantzau. In Holstein, the Rantzau son Cor de la Bruyère (the sire of the Calypsos) has undeniably left his mark.

Rex is a son of the full-blooded Gemini CL xx, a clone of Gem Twist xx, the phenomenal show jumper of Greg Best. They won two silver medals at the Seoul Olympics (1988). The papers of Rex van 't Roth point to a well-founded pedigree. Rex's first results in the stallion competition confirm that. And Rex brings new blood into our breeding via Gemini. Rex is a stallion with which we will see Niels Bruynseels at the highest level in the future. Until that time we are grateful to Niels and Cleran Horses for being able to exploit such a stallion. An unmistakable added value for our breeding.
